My good friend, 16 year old Jesse McComas, was diagnosed with Non-Hogkins Lymphoma in August of 2003. Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system which Jesse battled for one year. He had to endure intense chemotherapy but Jesse beat this cancer and went into remission for the past four years. Unfortunately, Jesse was just diagnosed with a new cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma(cancer of the muscle cells). He just began a tough round of chemotherapy 15 weeks ago. He goes in every week to get chemo and sometimes has to get 5 days of chemo in a row. This will be occuring every week for the next year depending on whether or not his counts will allow for this much chemotherapy. He will also begin radiation to help him further get rid of his cancer. Jesse always tells me that he will never stop fighting and will never give up, just as I have been telling him to do. He lives everyday now as if it were his last, enjoying life and hanging out with friends and family. I wanted to do something for Jesse that would brighten his spirits. Being that Jesse's mom is a single parent, raising her kids on her own, it's hard to make ends meet. Therefore, Jesse's mom cannot give him extra money for the fun things that a 16 year old would like to do. That is why I made this website. I would like to gather donations to help him enjoy life the best he can during chemo, since Jesse cannot work. I am asking anyone and everyone who can donate to please donate to help Jesse live his life to the fullest.
